    Hi Derek and Melanie,
Just been down to the “wine cellar” for another box of the Old Vine Zinfandel. This wine you make from fresh grapes imported from the Lodi Valley in California is truly outstanding! I am so impressed with the care and expertise you put into producing such quality wine and with your warm and friendly welcome that always makes bottling an enjoyable experience.
    Cheers and thank you,

I first learned of FFW through an advertisement in the Peninsula Review; their descriptions of what could be done with fresh fruit drew me in, and what they subsequently produced for me has kept me going back season after season. Blackberries, blueberries, plums, apples – even quince and maple syrup! If you have an idea, Laura and Mel will take it and give you something that is always lip smackin’ good. Dry, sweet, still, sparkling, wine, liqueur or cider; they’ve done it all. So take my advice and run – don’t walk – to Flying Fish Winery with your cherries, raspberries and rhubarb 🙂 You’ll be glad you did!!

Recently I had the opportunity to taste your Mexican Cerveza made from your premium craft beer kit (Brewhouse). I sell craft beer from the breweries here at my restaurant and I can honestly say it would have been impossible in my mind to tell the difference between the two if comparing apples to apples. It is the perfect beer for a hot day when one’s looking for a refreshing thirst quencher.

I have been making wine at this location for many years. Laura and her crew are undoubtedly the best by far for advice, support, knowledge and cooperation. I have made Amarone several times and never disappointed, full bodied, rich with only light tannins, dark, nice nose and good palate. We serve it to friends at home with beef, lamb, ribs and just with appy’s. Many have asked about it and have made their won.

Recently I opened the first bottle of fresh juice Pinot Grigio Laura recommended. Wow, what a great surprise, bursting with flavour. Next years is already ordered.

I also had a chance to try Rosso Bravissimo, an upgrade to that old standby, Rosso Grande and a very nice improvement too. Drier than the Amarone but more full bodied than the Grande. Certainly one to order in the future.

Great products, staff and facilities. Always a pleasure to make wine at Flying Fish and a treat to enjoy the fruits of our labours, red or white.

I had two batches of wine made at Flying Fish, a chardonnay and a cabernet sauvignon. Both are delicious – I get compliments all the time when serving them at home. Laura and Bonnie were a great help and very friendly! I would definitely recommend Flying Fish to anyone looking for liquor-store quality wine at a fraction of the cost!
