ACCELERATED WINE JUDGING COURSE offered by
BC GUILD OF WINE JUDGES

This course is for:

  1. anyone that enjoys wine and wishes to learn more about wine; or

  2. winemakers wishing to learn more about the components that make up a good tasting wine; or

  3. those wishing to join the BC Guild of Wine Judges organization.

This course is offered only once every two years. It will be offered in both the Victoria area and in the Vancouver area. Course size is limited to 17 people in each location and enrolment is based on a first come basis.

Rick Homer (Victoria) and Axel Kroitzsch (Vancouver) are both Master Wine Judges and Educators with the BC Guild of Wine Judges. They will be conducting eight (8) training sessions, taking place over four (4) weekendsin2023. Course dates will be Jan14-15, Feb4-5, Feb25-26, and Mar11-12(9:00am to 3:30pm)

During the course you will be provided:

  • –  the opportunity to taste and learn to assess approximately 100 wines.

  • –  wine judging tools, forms, laminated guides, and a course handbook.

  • –  daily lectures, exercises, tastings, sensory training, quizzes, and a final exam.

    Cost: $450 per person – (payable in November when requested)
